State Senator Anthony Cannella Announces Capitol Staff

SACRAMENTO, CA – State Senator Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) today announced hiring a team of dedicated Californians to serve in his Capitol office.

Erin Guerrero, who has spent more than a decade working for Central Valley lawmakers, serves as chief of staff for Senator Cannella. Guerrero most recently served as deputy chief of staff for Senator Dave Cogdill and has served Cogdill in a number of capacities since he was elected in 2000, including as his chief negotiator on the water bond and budget.

Chuck Hahn, who serves as Cannella’s consultant, most recently worked as chief of staff to Cogdill. Hahn’s previous experience includes interim chief operating officer for the California Republican Party, Chief Assistant Secretary of State and member services director for the Assembly Republican Caucus. Hahn began his political career working in the administration of former Governor Pete Wilson.

Press Secretary Jessica Hsiang most recently worked for Wilson-Miller Communications and as deputy communications director to U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina. Hsiang began her career in Gov. Schwarzenegger’s administration, where she served as Associate Special Assistant for Executive Communications and as a spokeswoman for the Office of the Secretary of Education.

Jessica Teng was recently hired as Cannella’s legislative aide, after spending a year with the current Assembly Republican Leader, Connie Conway, as both a Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellow and a legislative aide. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2009 and has previous experience as an intern with the California Department of Education, the House of Commons in the United Kingdom and 2008 congressional candidate Dean Andal.

Christopher Odneal serves as a legislative aide and is a current participant in the Senate Fellows Program. He graduated in May 2010 from UC Berkeley where he was active in Berkeley College Republicans and in Berkeley Students for Life. Odneal previously interned for Assemblyman Steve Knight and for the Fairfield City Manager’s Office.

Jamie Mori, who serves as scheduler for Cannella, brings with her nearly ten years of Capitol experience. Most recently having staffed Senator Mark Wyland, she has established excellent relationships with members of the “Third House.” She graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a degree in Liberal Studies.
